Resetting Zebra GK420D Printer

On occasion, the Zebra GK420D printer needs to be reset.
If the printer is suddenly not printing tags, not aligning correctly, or not printing dark enough, it may be time to reset the printer.
To do this for the Zebra GK420D, follow these steps:
  1. Ensure printer is on
  2. Open Devices and Printers
  3. Right click on the Zebra GK420D
  4. Select Printing Preferences
  5. Click Tools tab
  6. Select Load factory defaults under Command name
  7. Click Send
  8. Select Reset printer under Command name
  9. Click Send
  10. Select Calibrate media under Command name
  11. Click Send
  12. Click OK
